Alhassan Mourns 25 NAF Crash Victims, Commiserates With Families
The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Air Force, Kabiru Usman Alhassan, has mourned the victims of the Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft crash in Ondo State.
The Nigerian Air Force on Tuesday confirmed that all 25 people on board the aircraft, comprising 20 passengers and five crew members, died in the crash.
Reacting to the tragedy, Alhassan expressed solidarity with the families of the deceased, the Nigerian Air Force and the entire military community.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the lawmaker said he was deeply saddened by the incident, while commending the Nigerian Air Force, security agencies, emergency responders and other personnel involved in the rescue operation.
He said, “I am deeply saddened and concerned by the unfortunate crash involving a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft in Ondo State.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the passengers, crew members, their families and loved ones at this difficult moment.
“I commend the Nigerian Air Force, security agencies, emergency responders and all those involved in the ongoing rescue operation for their prompt response.”

Alhassan also expressed condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased, praying that they find strength during the difficult time.
The aircraft, with tail number NGR 931, was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when it crashed near the Naval Base in Igbokoda, Ondo State.
The Nigerian Air Force has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
