The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Chief Benjamin Omale, has commended party members for their massive participation in the ongoing electronic registration (E-Registration) exercise, describing it as a strategic step that will significantly boost the party’s fortunes.

Omale gave the commendation while flagging off the APC membership E-Registration exercise in his home Local Government Area of Ohimini.
According to him, widespread participation in the exercise will open up new opportunities for party members and also strengthen the APC’s chances of re-electing Governor Hyacinth Alia and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The state chairman emphasized that the E-Registration exercise is not a routine party activity but a critical call to duty, loyalty and commitment to the future of the APC in Benue State. He noted that it represents the foundation upon which the party’s political strength, electoral success and internal democracy will be built.
Omale warned that any stakeholder who ignores the exercise is, knowingly or unknowingly, weakening the party at both the state and federal levels.
“In today’s political environment, data is power. A party that does not know its members cannot protect them, mobilize them or defend their votes,” he said.
He explained that the E-Registration would provide a verified and credible digital membership register that would determine eligibility to vote in party primaries, recognition as a party member, qualification for appointments and the party’s support during elections.
“Let me be very clear: if your name is not in the APC E-Registration database, you are politically invisible,” Omale declared.
He further stressed that the exercise would determine who selects the party’s candidates, who represents the APC at all levels, who benefits from APC governance and who defends the party during elections.
According to him, no stakeholder, leader or politician—regardless of status—can stand outside the process, as it is not about technology alone but about securing control of the party’s future.
“Whoever controls the membership controls the party, and that control must belong to APC faithful—not political opportunists, outsiders or infiltrators,” he stated.
Omale disclosed that the Governor of Benue State has given the exercise his full support, noting that the governor understands that a strong APC must be built on a credible and verifiable membership structure.
He therefore charged all ward and local government chairmen, party leaders, as well as elected and appointed officials, to take full ownership of the exercise by mobilizing their people, supervising the process and defending its integrity.
“This is the moment to prove who is truly APC and who is merely wearing the party’s name,” Omale said, adding, “Let history record that when the future of APC in Benue was at stake, its leaders stood up, mobilized their people and secured the party. Together, we will build a party that cannot be rigged out, infiltrated or defeated.”
