An All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the House of Representatives, Pastor Babagbemi Adejola, has congratulated Amb. Sola Enikanolaiye on his nomination as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

In a statement issued on Thursday, Babagbemi described the nomination as a fitting recognition of Enikanolaiye’s distinguished career in Nigeria’s foreign service.

He noted that the nominee rose through the ranks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to become Permanent Secretary before his retirement, adding that his recent role as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs further demonstrated his wealth of experience and continued relevance.

Babagbemi also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as a merit-based appointment.

According to him, the nomination reflects the administration’s commitment to placing competent and seasoned professionals in key positions to advance Nigeria’s diplomatic interests.

“Amb. Enikanolaiye’s nomination is well deserved and inspiring. His track record in public service speaks volumes, and I am confident he will bring his expertise to bear in strengthening Nigeria’s foreign relations,” Babagbemi said.

The APC aspirant expressed optimism that the nominee would make significant contributions to the country’s foreign policy direction if confirmed.
