As political parties gear up for the February 21, 2026, Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has presented its party flag to Olarewaju Femi Success, who emerged as the party’s councillorship candidate for Gui Ward following the recently concluded primary elections.

The flag presentation ceremony, which also featured other successful candidates from across the FCT, drew a large crowd of party members, supporters, and officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). It marked a major step in APGA’s pre-campaign activities and internal preparations ahead of the 2026 polls.
While official campaign activities are not slated to begin until September 24, 2025, in line with INEC regulations, the flag presentation served as a symbolic endorsement of the candidates and a public affirmation of the party’s readiness to participate fully in the democratic process.

Party excos
APGA leaders at the event charged the newly affirmed candidates to remain loyal to the party’s ideals of transparency, accountability, and grassroots development. They stressed the importance of unity, internal cohesion, and disciplined mobilization ahead of the electioneering season.
Hon. Dr. Ubanze Tochukwu Randreen, APGA’s Chairmanship Candidate for the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), applauded the successful conduct of the party primaries and the enthusiasm of its supporters.

Delegates affirming their Aspirant
“This flag presentation is not just ceremonial—it is a call to service, unity, and progress. APGA is poised to make a meaningful impact across the FCT,” Randreen declared.
Olarewaju Femi Success, the Gui Ward councillorship candidate, expressed gratitude to the party for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to prioritize the needs of his community if elected.
“I thank the party for this great opportunity. I’m fully committed to representing Gui Ward with integrity and dedication,” he said.
Hon. Obinna Emmanuel Ezeoha, candidate for Dustse Ward councillorship, also reaffirmed his commitment to community-focused leadership under the APGA banner.
The event ended with renewed calls from party stakeholders for sustained grassroots engagement and a shared vision for a better, more inclusive FCT under the leadership of the All Progressives Grand Alliance.
