Babachir Quits ADC: Former SGF rejects Atiku’s victory at the party primary, insisting he will not support what he described as a rigged process ahead of 2027.

Former SGF, Babachir Lawal, has resigned from the African Democratic Congress following the emergence of Atiku Abubakar as the party’s presidential candidate.

Lawal said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be a better president than Atiku. He also alleged that the ADC presidential primary was manipulated to favour the former vice president.
According to him, he would not be part of what he described as Atiku’s “rigging machine” ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Lawal further criticised Atiku, describing him as incompetent and accusing him of being a tribal and religious bigot. He maintained that such a person should not be allowed near the presidential office.
