Benue Council elections: Deliver all wards, LGs in October– Gov. Alia tells APC, Flaggs off campaigns in Gboko

Ahead of the October 5th council polls in Benue, Governor Hyacinth Alia has charged the candidates, supporters and other stakeholders of the party to work hard across their LGs to ensure victoryof the party in the state.
Governor Alia who gave the Charge in Gboko Local government area of the state at the flag off campaigns of APC urged the party supporters to ensure that the APC candidates won all the positions in the coming polls.
Represented by his deputy, Barr Sam Ode, Gov Alia further promised to conduct a free, fair and credible polls and provide a level playing ground for all political parties to test their popularity.
The governor while handing over 23 flags to the APC chairmanship candidates and their deputies however warned against acts capable of breaching the peace and unity of the state before, during and after the council polls ading that the game must be played within the ambit of the law.
Earlier, in his address, APC State Caretaker Chairman, Dr Benjamin Omale hinted that the committee has played a vital role in addressing the concerns of aggrieved aspirant by ensuring that every voice was heard and valued.
“The committee’s efforts have been instrumental in fostering unity and understanding within the party. APC administration in the State is committed to delivering on their campaign promises”, Omale declared.
He urged the party supporters to come out en-mass on the 5th of October, and vote for all candidates of the APC for better service delivery and for the general good of the people.
He further commeded President Bola Tinubu, National Chairman APC and the working committee for their support in bringing peace to Benue APC and formation of the unity caretaker committee.
In his goodwill message, Sen Joseph Akaagerger said the entire people of Zone A were fully behind the governor and would return all the APC candidates on October 5th.
Also speaking while addressing the people of Zone B , Barr Emmanuel Jime, said the masses elected Gov Alia and that was why he is working for them.
Barr Jime said the governor was only doing what the electorates asked him to do by executing people oriented projects and building human capacity.
He urged the local government chairmanship candidates to enure that they replicate the governor’s mood of administration at the grassroots.
Speaking to journalists, Mr James Orgunga, APC State Organizing Secretary said the party fileded candidates in all the chairmanship and councillorship positions for the election.
Mr Orgunga said the party was fully prepared for the election.
