Bezalel Design Academy, in partnership with the Bells University Students Association (BUSA) at Bells University of Technology, Ota, has announced the Bezalel Creative Conference 2026, a flagship gathering designed to redefine creativity and equip young talents for relevance in a rapidly evolving global economy.

Scheduled for Friday, 24 April 2026, the conference will be held at the BUPF International Conference Centre and is expected to convene over 400 participants, including students, emerging creatives, designers, freelancers, and innovators from across Nigeria and beyond.

With the theme, “The New Wave: From Talent to Value Creation,” the conference responds to significant structural shifts within the creative industry. As digital tools become more accessible and execution increasingly automated, the organisers emphasise that technical skill alone is no longer sufficient as a competitive advantage.

Instead, the focus is shifting towards value creation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving as key drivers of success in today’s creative economy.
Positioned as more than a conventional conference, the Bezalel Creative Conference is conceived as a forward-thinking platform committed to raising a new generation of creatives who move beyond aesthetics to building sustainable systems, solving real-world problems, and delivering measurable impact.

According to the organizers , the initiative is structured to provide participants with the mindset, frameworks, and practical insights required to transition from talent-driven practice to sustainable enterprise and leadership. The programme will feature keynote sessions, live case studies, interactive panel discussions, exhibitions, and curated networking opportunities designed to foster meaningful connections and collaborations.
“The future belongs to creators who build value,” the organisers noted, stressing that while talent remains essential, it must be complemented by the ability to generate economic outcomes, develop scalable solutions, and drive meaningful change.

The conference will also engage critical conversations around emerging trends such as artificial intelligence, global competition, and the increasing demand for measurable results. As AI continues to reshape the future of work, the organisers highlight the growing need for creatives to evolve beyond routine execution by embracing adaptability, originality, and strategic insight.
Participants will gain clarity on how to translate creativity into sustainable income, strengthen their leadership capacity, and position themselves for long-term growth in a competitive global landscape.

Described by its convener, Aanuoluwa Oyewole, as a movement rather than a one-off event, the Bezalel Creative Conference aligns with the Academy’s broader vision of repositioning creativity as a catalyst for enterprise, leadership, and societal impact.

As anticipation builds, young creatives are encouraged to engage deliberately with what the organisers describe as “The New Wave” – a generational shift where creativity is no longer judged by aesthetics alone, but by its capacity to create real, measurable value.
