Bimbo Akintola Speaks on Being Single and Childless at 52

Veteran Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola, has opened up about her personal life, revealing that she is single and without children at the age of 52.

In a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria, the award-winning actress was asked if she had children, to which she responded, “No, I don’t unfortunately.

She went on to confirm her age, saying, “I’m 52 years old. Born May 5, 1973.”

When asked why she remained single, Akintola clarified that it was not a deliberate decision, stating, “Not chosen oo.”

Bimbo Akintola, whose career spans nearly three decades, made her acting debut in 1995 in the movie Owo Blow alongside Femi Adebayo. Two years later, she starred in Out of Bounds with Richard Mofe Damijo, a role that further established her in the Nigerian film industry.

Born and raised in Lagos, Akintola attended Maryland Convent Private School before proceeding to Command Day Secondary School. She later earned a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.

Most recently, she appeared in Kemi Adetiba’s series To Kill a Monkey, playing the role of Inspector Mo Ogunlesi.
