BON COMMENDS JAMB REGISTRAR FOR ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY FOR TECHNICAL AND HUMAN ERRORS
“Accountability is taking ownership of our actions, including our mistakes. It is a hallmark of integrity. ”
We have been following with keen interest the uproar and intense media discourse that followed the outcome of the just concluded 2025 UTME conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.
The open admission of human and technical errors by the Registrar of JAMB
Professor Isiaq Oloyede and taking personal responsibility as a leader was a demonstration of an exemplary courage that symbolises accountability and integrity.
Professor Oloyede and his team also deserve accolades for being proactive in finding solutions that will not jeopardise the future of the applicants who were caught up in the technical glitches.
For JAMB to reschedule the exams for students who were caught in the technical glitches, the agency has demonstrated act of sincerity as that is the right step in the right direction in giving all students the opportunity to aspire for higher education in the country.
BON equally take into cognisance the positive collaborative efforts between JAMB and WAEC to jointly navigate the challenge at hand.
BON therefore urges people in positions of authority and power to always cultivate the culture of thoroughness and accountability that will project the good image of the country.
