Adibe, who marked his 80th birthday in February 2025, reportedly died peacefully around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to a family source.

He rose to prominence with his remarkable performance in Chinua Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, where his calm presence and compelling delivery won him admiration across generations.
