The 2025 Annual Camp and Maiden Jamboree of the Royal Ambassadors (RA), FCT Baptist Conference, has officially commenced in Kuje, Abuja.
Declaring the event open, the Conference Director, Counsellor David Oche, charged Christian youths to remain steadfast in faith and prayer as they strive to reach higher ground in their careers and personal lives.
He underscored the importance of honouring God and living in a way that brings glory to Him at all times, while also fostering a deep interest in sharing the love of Jesus Christ.
“Honouring God, living to glorify Him, building trust, nurturing relationships, and sharing Christ’s love are virtues that will lead you to higher ground,” Oche said. “As Ambassadors for Christ, you are called to represent Jesus and His teachings daily, reflecting His character in all your endeavours. Uphold these values if you want to reach your full potential.”
Counsellor Oche further urged the youth to engage in positive ventures and called on all tiers of government to prioritise youth empowerment programmes that will enable young people to contribute meaningfully to national economic growth.
Interpreting the event’s theme, “Higher Ground,” the Camp Pastor, Reverend Matthew Ola Danjuma of Grace Baptist Church, Shadadi-Kuje, urged RA members to be shining examples for Jesus Christ wherever they are. He advised them to obey God’s commandments, shun immorality, and commit themselves to serving God and humanity.
Reverend Danjuma also stressed the importance of prioritising education and maintaining a positive mindset to achieve breakthroughs in life.
The opening ceremony concluded with a special prayer for the success of the 2025 Annual Camp.
