Fintiri Unveils Adamawa Delegation for 2026 Israel Pilgrimage
Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has approved the constitution of the State Government Delegation for the 2026 Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land in Israel.
The approval was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, and made available to journalists in Abuja.
The delegation is chaired by HRM Johnson Diyo Matalo, the Gubo Yungur. Other members are Senator Rev. Amos Yohanna, Hon. Japhet Hammajabu, Mr. Samuel Chinda, Rev. Father Anselm Kachalla, while Dr. Bartholomew Nyalas will serve as Secretary.
While congratulating the members, Governor Fintiri urged them to uphold the highest standards of integrity, discipline and patriotism in carrying out their responsibilities. He reminded them that they had been chosen to represent the government and people of Adamawa State, describing the assignment as both an honour and a responsibility. He charged them to conduct themselves with dignity and ensure the pilgrimage is hitch-free and spiritually rewarding.
The Governor also directed the delegation to work closely with the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission and other relevant authorities to guarantee the welfare and safety of all pilgrims from Adamawa State. He urged the committee to justify the confidence reposed in them by remaining transparent, accountable and focused on the spiritual objectives of the pilgrimage, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to supporting religious activities that promote peace, unity and moral values across the state.
