The 2025 Annual Convention of the Intellectual Elite Youth Association of Nigeria (IEYAN) has officially commenced in Abuja, with a central focus on promoting President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope vision.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on Wednesday, the National President of IEYAN, Mr. Azeez Balogun, said this year’s convention is dedicated to youth empowerment, skills development, and economic transformation.
“These are the core pillars of IEYAN’s mission — to drive national progress through innovation and collaboration, while complementing President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Balogun stated.
He explained that the convention seeks to tackle key national challenges, such as youth unemployment and economic hardship, by formulating actionable strategies aligned with the Federal Government’s policy objectives.
Balogun reiterated IEYAN’s commitment to creating tangible opportunities for young Nigerians — especially artisans, innovators, and entrepreneurs — through strategic partnerships with industry leaders, investors, and government agencies.
“Our goal is to equip Nigerian youth with the skills, knowledge, and platforms they need to thrive in a rapidly changing economy,” he added.
He also encouraged participants to take advantage of the convention’s sessions to network, share ideas, and take decisive steps toward building a prosperous and inclusive economic future for Nigeria.
