Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Edo South Senatorial District for their unwavering support throughout 2025.

He assured his constituents of deeper legislative engagement and broader empowerment initiatives in the coming year.
In his 2026 New Year message, Senator Imasuen described the past year as one marked by “purposeful action and measurable progress,” emphasizing that his legislative focus in the National Assembly remained on people-centered laws that enhance governance, promote accountability, and safeguard the interests of Edo South residents.

Beyond his legislative responsibilities, the senator highlighted several empowerment initiatives undertaken by his office, aimed at youths, women, farmers, and grassroots communities across the district, with the goal of creating tangible socio-economic impact.
Among the year’s notable achievements, Imasuen cited the inaugural Benin Unity Cup Football Tournament, describing it as a unifying platform that fostered talent discovery, discipline, and opportunity. During the tournament, 35 young footballers were identified and are now receiving professional training for potential local and international careers.
The senator underscored that the tournament’s success reflects his commitment to youth development through sports and entrepreneurship, adding that similar programs would be expanded in 2026.
Looking ahead, Imasuen expressed optimism that continued public support would lead to more inclusive policies, stronger empowerment initiatives, and wider opportunities for the people of Edo South. He wished residents a peaceful, healthy, and prosperous New Year and reaffirmed his dedication to contributing to the growth of Edo South and Nigeria as a whole.
