The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has called on members of the Chartered Institute of Professional Printers of Nigeria (CIPON) to end nearly two decades of internal disputes and unite to reposition Nigeria’s printing industry for sustainable growth.

Speaking at the CIPON Stakeholders’ Summit in Abuja, the Minister described the institute’s prolonged leadership crisis as unfortunate, noting that it has deprived the profession of opportunities to attract greater government support and implement key reforms.
He appealed to all members, regardless of their differences, to support the current leadership, stressing that no personal interest should take precedence over the collective interest of the profession.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Governing Council of CIPON, Mr. Clement Koko, highlighted the major achievements recorded by the institute within six months of the inauguration of the Governing Council in December 2025.

Mr. Koko stated that the institute holds no grievances against any individual or group and urged all stakeholders to embrace peace and work together for the progress and advancement of the profession.
