Kuje General Hospital Nurses Shine as Best in FCT Healthcare Delivery
Nurses serving at the General Hospital in Kuje Area Council have been recognised as the best among their counterparts across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) for excellence in healthcare delivery.
The recognition came through an award insignia issued by the FCTA Hospitals Management Board Nursing Department, titled “Award of Efficiency and Responsiveness.
According to the Board, the honour was conferred on the Kuje General Hospital nursing team in acknowledgment of their “exceptional synergy, responsiveness and unwavering commitment to administrative excellence.”
The citation further noted that through coordinated teamwork and prompt, effective action, the nursing unit has consistently maintained high standards, setting a benchmark for healthcare delivery within the FCT in 2025.
The award, dated March 31, 2026, was signed by the Director of Nursing Services in the Board.
Across the six Area Councils of the FCT, there are 14 general hospitals, each with no fewer than 100 nurses providing services.
Meanwhile, the Kuje nurses have expressed joy over the recognition, congratulating one another on the achievement. They also expressed hope that the authorities would further reward their dedication to healthcare service under the FCT Administration led by Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike.
