In a major boost for Nigeria’s pharmaceutical sector, La_Shipson Pharmaceutical Limited has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the Federal Government, aimed at transforming the country into a hub for world-class pharmaceutical and vaccine production.

The agreement was formalized through the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, and the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency (NBRDA), a great public-private partnership to develop local drug manufacturing capacity.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, the Chief Executive Officer of La_Shipson Pharmaceutical Ltd., Hon. Moses Godia Shipi, described the deal as a “bold and visionary step” toward national health security.

“This partnership is a dream come true for us at La_Shipson,” said Shipi. “We have always envisioned a future where Nigerians have access to quality, affordable, and locally manufactured medicines and vaccines. Today, that vision is taking shape, thanks to the support of the Federal Government, the Ministry, and NABDA.”

The collaboration will focus on establishing scientific, infrastructural, and regulatory frameworks to support the local production of globally standardized pharmaceuticals and vaccines. Beyond reducing reliance on foreign imports, the project is also expected to spur innovation, generate employment, and improve public health outcomes nationwide.
