LAGOS: 18-Year-Old Arraigned for Allegedly Killing 17-Year-Old Girl During Street Fight

An 18-year-old, Emmanuel Okei, has been arraigned in Lagos State for allegedly beating a 17-year-old girl, Miss Idowu Olarinoye, who collapsed and died during a public brawl.

According to Ondopress, the suspect was arrested and charged with murder following the incident.

The tragedy occurred on February 11, 2025, in the Onitiri area of Ikotun, Lagos, where both the suspect and the deceased lived.

Police reports indicate that Okei and Olarinoye had a disagreement over an undisclosed matter, which escalated into heated exchanges and a physical confrontation. During the fight, Okei allegedly struck the girl on her chest, causing her to slump and lose consciousness, leading to her death.
