Mama Esther Ayoola to Be Buried August 28 in Ogbomoso at 98

The family of the late Pa Joseph Ayoola of Pakoyi’s Compound, Ojajagun, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has announced the funeral arrangements for their wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mama Esther Oyeduntan Atoke Ayoola, who passed away at the age of 98.

According to a statement made available to journalists in Abuja, a Wake Keep will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Christ Heritage Baptist Church, Oke Anu Area, Ogbomoso, beginning at 4:00 p.m. On Friday, August 28, her remains will depart from LAUTECH Teaching Hospital at 7:00 a.m. for Ile Ebo Idi Araba, Masifa and Pakoyi’s Compound, Ojajagun, Ogbomoso, where family members will pay their last respects.
The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Christ Heritage Baptist Church, Ogbomoso, after which she will be laid to rest at her son’s residence. A reception will follow at Amco Hall, Sawmill Area, Apake, Ogbomoso, with entertainment by Yemmy Melody Band Concept.
Mama Esther Oyeduntan Atoke Ayoola is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Mr. Mathew Ayoola, Manager, News, Radio Nigeria Abuja Operations. The family prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul, asking that she continues to rest in the bosom of the Lord. Amen.
