MTN Nigeria Shines with Four Prestigious Honours at the 2025 Consumers Value Awards

MTN Nigeria has clinched four major awards, marking a significant milestone at the 2025 Consumers Value Awards (CVA) and reaffirming its status as a leading consumer-focused brand and a dominant force in the telecommunications industry.

Following an open and transparent nationwide voting process for the 2025 edition of the Consumers Value Awards, the technology giant emerged victorious in four key categories that reflect both its operational excellence and commitment to social responsibility.

The event, organised by BrandXchange and themed “Beyond Prices: Consumer Trust, Digital Experience & Brand Accountability,” saw MTN Nigeria secure top honours in all four categories in which it was nominated.

According to MTN Nigeria’s Chief Customer Relations and Experience Officer, Ugonwa Nwoye, the company won Best Green Energy Adoption by a Company (53% of nationwide votes), Best Customer Service Telecoms Brand (54%), Most Reliable Internet Service Provider (66%), and Best CSR Initiative by a Corporate Brand (MTN Foundation) with 73% of consumer votes.

Nwoye described the quadruple win as a strong affirmation of the deep trust and satisfaction Nigerian consumers have in the MTN brand. She noted that the recognition highlights MTN’s dedication to customer loyalty and service excellence.

“These awards stand as proof of our customers’ trust and loyalty, which remain at the core of all that we do,” she said. “We are committed to delivering exceptional service, sustainable practices, and meaningful social impact. This recognition motivates us to continue innovating and ensuring that every interaction with MTN meets the highest standards of quality and responsibility.”

She added that the strong voter turnout—53% for Green Energy Adoption and 54% for Customer Service—demonstrates MTN’s strategic focus on placing consumers at the center of its operations. According to her, the accolades underscore the company’s dedication to innovation, service excellence, and sustainable business practices.

Nwoye explained that winning the Most Reliable Internet Service Provider award confirms that MTN’s significant investments in network infrastructure and technology are directly yielding improved connectivity for millions of Nigerians—a crucial element in today’s digital-driven economy.

She also highlighted that the Best Green Energy Adoption award validates MTN’s environmental responsibility efforts. As consumers become increasingly aware of corporate sustainability, MTN’s move toward powering its expansive network with cleaner energy resonates strongly with the public, positioning the company as a leader in responsible business practices.

Beyond its commercial accomplishments, MTN Nigeria was also honoured for the impactful work of the MTN Foundation, which won Best CSR Initiative by a Corporate Brand. Nwoye said the recognition reflects the brand’s firm commitment to community development and affirms that MTN’s success is tied to the growth and well-being of the people it serves.
