The association expressed confidence in Laniyi’s capacity to reposition the Centre through visionary leadership, grassroots-driven programmes, and policies that would positively impact Nigerian women.
According to the statement, women journalists are particularly optimistic that the new leadership will amplify the voices of women and girls, promote gender-sensitive policies, and improve the socio-economic wellbeing of women nationwide.
NAWOJ FCT further pledged its readiness to collaborate with the Centre in areas of advocacy, awareness creation, capacity building, and media visibility for issues affecting women and children in the FCT and beyond.
