The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has been conferred with a Life Patron Award by the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria.

The investiture took place at the NCPC Corporate Headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, during a courtesy visit by the Executive Members of the association.

In his remarks, Bishop Adegbite declared that Nigeria would never be an abandoned project, describing the nation as the best in the world. He emphasized that the Church and the Government maintain a harmonious relationship and are inseparably connected.

The NCPC boss reaffirmed his belief in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, noting that he is not a religious bigot but “the best President Nigeria has ever had.” He further stressed the need for all Nigerians to work towards realizing the dividends of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Addressing reports of alleged persecution, Bishop Adegbite dismissed claims of a Christian genocide in Nigeria, affirming, “There is no Christian genocide in Nigeria.”

He urged the APC Christian Leaders to partner with both the Commission and the Church in nation-building, saying, “We are the light of the world.”

Bishop Adegbite also commended the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, describing her as a strong pillar of support to the President and the first ordained Minister of God to occupy the office. He lauded her as a beacon of hope and a champion of prosperity for all.

Earlier, the President of the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria, Prof. Abraham Olarewaju—represented by the Director of National Planning and Strategy, Dr. Babalola Emmanuel—explained that the association was founded in 2019 to mobilize Christians within the All Progressives Congress (APC) across states and local government areas for broad-based grassroots participation.

He noted that each state has an officially recognized structure serving as a support body and emphasized the importance of active Christian involvement in politics, stating that “after the power of God, the next power is political power.”

The Forum’s President also sought the NCPC Executive Secretary’s support and blessings for their cause.
