Nigeria to Host First-Ever International Civil Service Conference in June 2025

Nigeria will host the inaugural International Civil Service Conference (ICSC) in Abuja from June 25 to 26, 2025, as part of the country’s activities marking the 2025 African Public Service Day and Civil Service Week.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, announced the landmark event on Tuesday, describing it as a major step in repositioning the Nigerian Civil Service for 21st-century challenges.

With the theme “Rejuvenate, Innovate & Accelerate!”, the conference is expected to attract over 5,000 delegates, including high-level government officials, reform experts, and policy leaders from countries such as the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Singapore, and Ghana.

Key features of the two-day event include:
Keynote addresses by global civil service reformers, roundtable sessions on innovation, digital transformation, and citizen-centered service delivery, a special platform for young public servants and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
Also there will be an exhibition of over 100 public and private sector initiatives.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to formally open the conference at Eagle Square on June 25.

Mrs. Walson-Jack also called on the private sector to support the event through sponsorships, noting that the conference aligns with Nigeria’s Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025 (FCSSIP25) and the **African Union’s Agenda 2063
