Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has generated $149.6 billion in revenue since commencing operations and has paid $10.

8 billion in taxes to the Federal Government since becoming tax compliant in 2009, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Adeleye Falade, has disclosed.
Falade revealed the figures in Lagos during the presentation of the company’s Facts and Figures 2026 report, describing NLNG as one of Nigeria’s greatest energy success stories. He said the company has also remitted $47.2 billion in dividends to shareholders, including the Federal Government, while operating six liquefaction trains with assets valued at over $22.9 billion. According to him, NLNG has built a fleet of 20 LNG vessels and exported more than 6,285 LNG cargoes to global markets since inception.
He noted that NLNG currently contributes about six percent of global LNG supply and announced that the company’s Train 7 expansion project has reached 93 percent completion. Falade explained that the project will increase LNG production by 35 percent and LPG production by 50 percent, boosting Nigeria’s export earnings and strengthening domestic gas supply when completed.
The NLNG boss said the company supplied 500,000 tonnes of cooking gas to the domestic market last year, helping to improve access to cleaner energy. He added that NLNG’s gas utilization model has reduced Nigeria’s gas flaring rate from 65 percent to below 20 percent, while its LPG programme is helping to tackle health challenges linked to the use of firewood and other dirty cooking fuels.
Falade also highlighted the completion of the N120 billion Bonny-Bodo Road as one of the company’s landmark corporate social responsibility projects, saying it has transformed transportation and commercial activities in Rivers State. Although he acknowledged that gas supply remained NLNG’s biggest challenge, particularly last year, he expressed confidence that conditions have improved. He added that the company will continue to focus on reliability, expansion and delivering greater value to Nigerians as Train 7 moves closer to completion.
