NTAC ANTI-CORRUPTION UNIT ORGANIZES SENSITIZATION PROGRAMME ON INTEGRITY AND ETHICAL CONDUCT

The Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), in partnership with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), hosted an intensive anti-corruption sensitization programme on Thursday, 27th November 2025. The event, themed “Say No to Corruption: Integrity Begins With Me,” was held at the NTAC Complex in Abuja.

In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) and Director of Administration, Amb. Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed, reaffirmed NTAC’s steadfast commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical service delivery. He emphasized that integrity should remain the cornerstone of public service, especially for an agency representing Nigeria on the international stage.

Participants engaged in a series of informative sessions facilitated by ICPC officials, covering:

1. Resolving Attitudinal Issues and Ethical Dilemmas for an Effective Workforce

2. Strategies for Combating Public Sector Corruption

3. The Integrity Choice: Emotional Intelligence at Crossroads

The facilitators highlighted the critical role of emotional intelligence in fostering integrity-based decision-making.

A compelling drama by NTAC Corpers illustrated how corruption often begins subtly and emphasized that conscious, principled choices uphold integrity.

Staff members actively participated, asking questions, sharing experiences, and engaging in an interactive Q&A session. The programme reinforced the importance of sustaining a corruption-free work environment and strengthened the staff’s commitment to honesty, professionalism, and national pride.

The event concluded with closing remarks from Mrs. Faustina Ogwua, who expressed gratitude to the ICPC for its continued partnership and support in promoting transparency and accountability in the public service.
