Officers And Men Of NFSS Congratulate CG On Award Of PhD

Officers and men of the Nigeria Forest Security Service, NFSS, have congratulated their Commander General, Joshua Osatimehin on the academics award of PhD in Security and Strategic Studies from the Nasarawa State University,, Keffi.

In a congratulatory message during the convocation ceremony of the University this Saturday in Keffi on behalf of the officers and men of NFSS in the 36 States of the Federation and the FCT, the Deputy Commander General in charge of Administration, DCG Lawrence Okonkwo described the academics achievement as a noble one worthy of commendation.

He said the PhD degree in Security and Strategic Studies by the Commander General would further contribute to the performance of the Service in the area of effective security of lives and property within the nation’s forested region.

According to him, the feat recorded by Dr. Joshua Osatimehin will also serve as a booster to officers and men of the Service towards acquiring formal education in fast tracking their career progression.

DCG Lawrence Okonkwo who extolled to quality leadership of Dr Joshua Osatimehin advised officers and men of NFSS to emulate him for better performance.

While wishing Dr. Joshua Osatimehin all the best in his endeavour, DCG Lawrence Okonkwo urged him not to relent in the actualization of the mandate of NFSS by continuing to bring his wealth of academics excellence to bear in the day to day administration of the Service.

On his part, the Commander General of NFSS, Dr. Joshua Osatimehin dedicated the PhD in Security and Strategic Studies to God, his family and officers and men of NFSS nationwide.

Dr. Joshua Osatimehin who said the journey towards realizing his PhD ambition was through the mercy, favour and grace of God despite all challenges stated that the knowledge acquired during his studies would further enhance his performance as the CG of NFSS.
