Ogbunka Community Congratulates Agbili on Redeployment as Permanent Secretary

The Ogbunka Development Union (ODU) and the entire Ogbunka community in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State have extended heartfelt congratulations to their illustrious son, Engr.

Martin Agbili, on his redeployment as Permanent Secretary in the Anambra State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
He previously served in the same capacity at the Ministry of Youths and Sports.
The congratulatory message was conveyed in a press release signed during the week by the President General of the community, Hon. Ikechukwu Chukwubueze, and the Secretary, Rev. Canon Dan Onwuasor.
According to the statement, Engr. Agbili’s redeployment is a well-deserved milestone that reflects his diligence, resilience, competence, and the enterprising spirit for which Ogbunka is renowned. The community described the appointment as a testament to his unwavering commitment to public service and excellence.
Engr. Agbili, a seasoned electrical and safety engineer as well as a career firefighter, has held several leadership positions over the years, notably serving as the Chief Fire Officer of the Anambra State Fire Service. His vast experience in fire safety, disaster risk management, and security management has earned him numerous awards and commendations.
The ODU and the Ogbunka community expressed confidence in his capacity to deliver in his new role and wished him continued success, while also looking forward to his contributions to the infrastructural development of Anambra State.
They noted that his redeployment is a source of pride for the Ogbunka community and an inspiration to younger generations to pursue excellence, dedication, and service to society.
Engr. Martin Agbili is widely respected across Anambra State for his exceptional leadership and expertise in fire safety management, disaster risk reduction, and security management. With over 27 years of distinguished service, he previously served as Fire Chief of the Anambra State Fire Service before his appointment as Permanent Secretary.
Among his notable achievements are his strong advocacy for fire safety, including emphasis on fire-conscious building designs in Nigeria through the use of hydrants, sprinkler systems, and smoke detectors. He has also held key professional positions, such as Chairman of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Awka Branch, and Regional Coordinator for the African continent of the International Fire Fighters Day (IFFD). In addition, he has received several awards in recognition of his contributions to safety, fire prevention, and humanitarian services.
