PRESIDENT TINUBU FELICITATES WITH WINNERS OF FCT, KANO, RIVERS ELECTIONS

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the winners of Saturday’s elections held in the Federal Capital Territory as well as in Kano and Rivers states.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) conducted polls across the six area councils of the FCT and organised by-elections in the Ahoada East II and Khana II state constituencies of Rivers State, alongside the Kano Municipal and Ungogo constituencies in Kano State.

President Tinubu urged the victorious candidates to discharge their responsibilities with humility, patriotism, and unwavering commitment, describing the mandate bestowed on them by the electorate as a sacred trust.
He praised the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, for what he described as notable accomplishments in the territory, which he said have translated into political gains for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The President also congratulated the national leadership of the APC, as well as the party’s leadership in Kano and Rivers states, and its members for emerging victorious at the polls.
President Tinubu commended INEC, security agencies, and the electorate for ensuring a peaceful and successful electoral exercise.
He further applauded the resilience and sportsmanship demonstrated by all candidates, noting that democracy thrives on active participation and healthy competition.
President Tinubu reaffirmed that the smooth conduct of the elections reinforces Nigeria’s democratic culture and institutions, and he encouraged INEC to sustain efforts toward delivering even more credible and exemplary electoral processes.
