Sallah: ACHPN President Felicitates With Muslims, Harps On Efficient Primary Healthcare System

The President of the Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (ACHPN), Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed, has felicitated with Muslims and members of the Association on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.


In his Sallah message in Abuja, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed admonished Muslims to imbibe the lessons of the festivities which include obedience, sacrifice, peaceful coexistence and love for one another irrespective of tribe, religion and political differences to ensure the betterment of the country.

He advised them to use the occasion to pray for the unity, peace and development of Nigeria.
Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed also stressed the need for Muslims to use the period to rededicate their lives to the service of God and humanity.
According to him, this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration calls for sober reflection in view of the current security and economic situation in the country, urging Muslims to pray for Nigeria to overcome the challenges.
The ACHPN President also used the occasion to call for the upgrade of the nation’s primary healthcare system towards enhancing the wellbeing of Nigerians nationwide.
He equally emphasized the need for more recruitment of community health workers to address the shortfall in workforce in primary healthcare centres across the country.
While commending the efforts of the Federal Government so far in repositioning the nation’s health sector, Comrade Kabir Yahaya Ahmed called for improved welfare packages and remuneration for community health workers to boost their productivity.
He stated that the ACHPN would continue to complement the efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the area of healthcare delivery towards actualizing the Renewed Hope Agenda in the health sector for Nigerians.
The ACHPN President also called on all practitioners to support the ongoing Operation Show Your Licence programme organised by the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria, as well as the E-Registration of members nationwide.
