SDP Chairman Hails Oba Ladoja on Coronation as 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland
The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam, has congratulated Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on his coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a goodwill message made available to newsmen, Alhaji Gabam described the coronation as a remarkable milestone in the history of Ibadan’s traditional institution.
He noted that the former governor’s ascension to the throne reflects his leadership qualities and commitment to the welfare of the people.He emphasized that Oba Ladoja’s wealth of experience, especially as a former Governor of Oyo State, would have a positive impact on his reign as the paramount ruler of Ibadan.
According to him, “Your ascension to the throne is a testament to your leadership qualities and dedication to the well-being of your people. As a former Governor of Oyo State, you have demonstrated exceptional governance skills, and your experience will undoubtedly shape your reign as Olubadan.”
The SDP National Chairman prayed for wisdom, good health, and divine guidance for the monarch, expressing confidence that his reign would usher in peace, prosperity, and the continued growth of Ibadanland’s cultural heritage.
“May your reign be long, prosperous, and blessed with joy and happiness,” he added.
Oba Ladoja’s coronation has been widely celebrated as the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Ibadan, home to one of the most respected traditional institutions in Yorubaland.
