Senate Approves Tinubu’s Nominee, Sani Ndannusa, as Ambassador
The Senate has confirmed the nomination of Mr Sani Ndannusa as a Non-Career Ambassador/High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The confirmation followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, presented by its Chairman, Senator Sani Bello.
Senator Bello said the committee carried out the necessary checks on the background, qualifications and experience of Mr Ndannusa and found him worthy of the appointment.
He expressed hope that Mr Ndannusa’s appointment by President Bola Tinubu as an Ambassador or High Commissioner would lead to fruitful diplomatic relations between Nigeria and the country to which he would be posted.
The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, subsequently put the nomination to a voice vote, and the senators overwhelmingly supported the nomination of Mr Ndannusa.
