By Bashir Mayeri
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) has urged the Federal Government to immediately implement the agreement reached with the Yayale Renegotiation Committee constituted by the Federal Government.
The National President of the association, Comrade Adebanjo Ogunsipe Philips, who led the union’s team, made the appeal in a statement issued at the end of a meeting in Abuja.
He commended members of SSANIP
nationwide for their patience, maturity and unwavering support throughout the negotiation process. He also appreciated the Federal Government for its commitment to the welfare of senior staff in Polytechnics and Colleges of Technology through the constitution of the committee.

The association equally acknowledged the Chairman and members of the Yayale Committee for their professionalism and dedication to promoting industrial harmony.

Comrade Adebanjo said SSANIP respectfully and urgently calls on the Federal Government to commence immediate implementation of all aspects of the agreement without further delay.

He noted that further delay would not only dampen the morale of workers but could also jeopardise the industrial peace that has been achieved.
The SSANIP National President reaffirmed the union’s commitment to partnering with the government to ensure the continued growth and stability of the Polytechnic sector in Nigeria.
He assured members that the National Executive Council (NEC) would closely monitor the implementation process and provide regular updates and details of the agreements to members at its forthcoming NEC meeting.
