The Dead Are Gathering: Karma Imminent

If you think they have been silenced, you may have another think coming. They are wide awake and concious of the content of the book “A Journey In Service” presented days ago.
I come from both spiritual and traditional backgrounds, backgrounds that make one believe in the communion between the living and the dead.Talk about the communion of the saints, those that have Catholic background would relate with it very well. They pray for their intercessions . Talk about the communion with “ndi iche” ( forefathers) Those with strong cultural background would equally relate with such, they pray for their intercession too, pour libation and other traditional riruals that provoke their attention either for good or bad, negative or positive .
Hitting while it is still hot may be the best strategy, but revenge is best served in coldness. We have all waited for this book, we thought it was going to be a revelation on truth supressed, acknowledgement of facts denied, and straightening the lines of falsehood entrenched. Instead we got another shocker, giving to our reading delight something we knew to be the singing of an old rugged song of saying things diplomatically, with a “maradonical” disposition and the gait of a Machiavellian
Since the launch, the book has been spreading like wild fire in soft copy on all social media platforms, after raking in not less than 17billion Naira.
Many thoughts are flowing, varied opinions are being canvassed , with analysis and diverse impacts on people. Such thinking like these stated below set me thinking
*Opinion one* But let us not be blind to the irony—MKO and the valiant crusaders of that struggle *lie* *cold* in their graves, their voices silenced, their sacrifices long forgotten.
*My reply*: Their voices have not been silenced , their sacrifices not long forgotten. Revenge just as I said is better served cold. They have gathered already from their various graves, perusing through the book, laughing at the author, strategizing on how best to deflate him and make him look like Nebuchadnezzar in the field of shame, embrassment and desolution
*Opinion 2* Meanwhile, IBB walked out of that room several billions richer, with a potential Presidential Library set to immortalize his name.
*My reply*: Yeah over 17billion naira realized. Though huge, but too paltry a sum for the calibar and timber of the author. What is 17billion to the ocean and sea that he swims in since he steps aside. I expected more, but the bitter truth is, at his age, his taste for good life is waning, if not gotten already to a point of diminishing return in appreciating material things.
*Opinion 3* .The lion feasts, while the gazelles of history *rot* in *obscurity* .
*My reply*: The lion has been feasting since, resting and basking in the euphoria of his rape of an innocent nation. The lion will never remain a lion forever. Time is running, nature is caving in, the lion will one day fall and the ants will feast on his temple. Though the gazelles of history may seem to be rotting in obscurity for those whose vision are blurred and hazy, nah!! They are neither in obscurity nor rotting in history. Their eyes are wide awake, bidding their time to strike when and where it will be irredeemable. If you think that they are rotten in the obscurity of the grave, slow down for the wrat of the dead in the space of justice and fairness is firece and deadly.
*My conclusion*: A Journey In Service is majorly a recycling of stories we already knew or suspected to be. It is like flying off from the ground and perching on an anthil.
Nothing interesting for me about that book except to know the truth about June 12th Annulment and the death of Dele Giwa.
Was there anything about truth or its resemblance in these two narratives as presented in the book? Was the author “maradonic” with truth and facts? Some said he allowed all those that would possibly counter him to pass on before writing this long expected book.
Does the information therein worth the waiting? The dead are alive, they may seem silenced but their spirits hover, woe betide one if justice and fairness lack in ones life.
My Igbo brothers would relate with the truth of the awakening consciousness of the dead on things dear to them. They don’t look back fighting for their rights. Woe betide one if one who is yet to do the complete passage rites of ones father goes about eating from the plate of other people ‘ parents’ passage of rite food. Death for such dudes is usually an irrevocable end.
What does this mean? The dead are alive! they see!! , hear and monitor what goes on here!!. You may think it is just a figment of ones imagination until one crosses lines and boundaries like it has been done by the Maradonic- Macavellian author of a book long expected, but Epiphanied eventually with a very bland content.
“A Journey in Service” a book authored by Gen. Ibrahim Babangida is better discribed as a documentation of how Nigeria was shared in parts, made hollow in bits, torn into pieces and the stories of her woes and gory letting of innocent blood, parody of justice , fairness, transparency etc painted on canvas with a tattered brush of lies, deceit and alluring manipulation of facts.
*Looming Shocker*: More than a decade from now, when the author of “A Journey In Service” must have passed, authors in wait, who like him couldn’t muster the courage to say things in a matter of fact way before him, would come up with the true story lines of June 12 and Dele Giwa’ gruesome murder. Nemesis is still active and the law of retributive Justice still operational.
The last has not been heard on these matters. *A Journey In Service: lies too many* Watch out for books in this similitude. The marathon race to the true account of what happened with June 12th and Dele Giwa’ death just begun!! The Maradona would be “demaradonized” and his seeming impregnable appellation of an evil genius deconstructed. Nothing last forever, one day things would fall apart and won’t be at ease, then the arrow of nemesis would hack them down and their invincible posture punctured.
*Last line*: Better keep your mouth shut when ignorant and allow people speculate on your ignorance than speak and remove every shades of doubt. If you ask me the summary of this book “A Journey In Service”.
It would have been better he never wrote this book!! The beehives have been disrupted and the buzzing and stinging would for a long time remain unabated.
17.billion naira for a Presidential Library! Another Banger! The fate of June 12th election abracadabra most likely its fate!!
Who is next? Of course General Gowon! But I doubt if he would, considering the terrible beating A Journey In Service is getting.
I say it again and again The Dead Are Gathering: Karma imminent.
