Tinubu’s Legacy Highway project takes shape as Akwanga–Jos section is flagged off.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has described President Bola Tinubu’s four Legacy Highway projects as bold investments designed to transform Nigeria’s economy and create lasting prosperity for millions of citizens.
Speaking during the inauguration of Section One of the 125-kilometre Akwanga–Jos segment of the Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe Super Highway in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Idris said the project represents another significant milestone in the implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to the minister, the President is developing critical economic corridors that will facilitate trade, create jobs, connect communities and promote inclusive national development across the country.
President Bola Tinubu, represented at the event by the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, described the highway as a strategic investment that will improve connectivity and stimulate economic growth across the states that will benefit from the project.
Also speaking, the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, urged the contractors to promote skills transfer by employing youths from host communities. He also appealed to the communities to protect the infrastructure to ensure its long-term benefits.
