Bwari Set for Army Barracks as Chairman Rallies Residents on Security
Residents of Bwari Area Council have been encouraged to remain vigilant and support security agencies by providing timely and credible information to help combat insecurity and sustain peace.
Chairman of the Bwari Area Council, Joshua Ishaku, made the appeal while speaking with Kapital FM in Abuja.
He said tackling insecurity would be a major priority of his administration, adding that the council would collaborate closely with security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders to improve safety across the area council.
Ishaku disclosed that arrangements were underway for the establishment of an Army barracks in Bwari, explaining that the facility would boost security presence and enhance the response to security threats in the area.
He identified poor road infrastructure as one of the challenges exploited by criminals and pledged to prioritise road construction and rehabilitation. He also promised improvements in healthcare, education, and youth empowerment.
The chairman further called for continued cooperation among residents, community leaders, and security agencies, stressing that collective efforts are vital to achieving lasting peace, security, and sustainable development in the area council.
