TRAILER ACCIDENT CAUSES HEAVY GRIDLOCK ON KUBWA HIGHWAY

Motorists using the Kubwa Expressway have been advised to remain patient as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) intensifies efforts to remove a fallen trailer currently blocking traffic flow at EFAB Junction.

FCT Sector Commander of the FRSC, Mr. Felix Theman, told Kapital FM this morning that impatience among drivers has further worsened the situation, making movement along the axis more difficult.

According to him, being a Monday morning when vehicular movement is usually heavy, the indiscipline of some motorists has compounded the traffic jam.

Mr. Theman explained that FRSC personnel are on ground to open up two lanes to ease congestion and appealed to road users to cooperate with officers until the trailer is cleared.

Correspondent Kayode Oyedare reports that the trailer fell in the early hours of today, causing serious delays for commuters, particularly civil servants heading to their offices.
