The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Danladi Jatau, has pledged the unwavering support of the legislature to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in its quest to improve the quality of basic education across the state.

Speaking when he received the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, Dr. Kassim Mohammed Kassim, and his management team during a courtesy visit to his office in Lafia, the Speaker assured of the Assembly’s readiness to collaborate with the board in achieving its mandate.

Dr. Jatau expressed confidence in the leadership of Dr. Kassim and praised his early efforts aimed at revitalizing primary education in the state.

He also used the opportunity to appreciate the SUBEB team for their condolence over the recent passing of his younger sister, Hajaratu.

While acknowledging Governor Abdullahi Sule’s commitment to educational development, Dr. Jatau reiterated the legislature’s intention to continue working in synergy with the executive to transform the education sector and other critical areas.
