The Senator representing Imo West Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Osita Bonaventure Izunaso, has called on Nigerians to prioritise education for a brighter future.

Senator Izunaso made the call during the convocation ceremony of Nile University, Abuja.

The Senator, who earned a Doctorate Degree in Maritime Law from the university, encouraged young people to develop a passion for knowledge in order to attain remarkable milestones.

He explained that his accomplishment reflects hard work and commitment to vision.

“This is a testament that dedication, perseverance, and passion for excellence can truly pay off. The achievement should serve as a source of inspiration to those who desire true greatness,” he stated.

Senator Osita Bonaventure Izunaso obtained his first and second degrees in different academic fields.

He graduated as the best student in the Faculty of Law and, as part of the memorable history, instituted an endowment fund in the university for the best graduating students in the faculty.

Senator Izunaso went on to pursue an LLM and, most recently, completed a Ph.D. in Maritime Law.

He currently serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Capital Market and Institutions, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kpakpando Foundation for Persons with Disabilities.
