“WE ARE ON THE RIGHT PATH TOWARDS BUILDING A CULTURE OF INTEGRITY AND ETHICAL CONDUCT” — NCPC BOSS
The Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting ethical conduct, transparency and accountability in the discharge of its mandate.

The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, made this assertion on Wednesday, 9th September, 2026, during a sensitisation workshop organised by the Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit, ACTU, of the Commission in collaboration with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC.
The workshop, held at the NCPC Headquarters, Abuja, was aimed at strengthening ethical standards and deepening staff understanding of corruption prevention.
Represented by the Director of Administration, Mr. Abu Okpanachi, the NCPC Boss appreciated the ICPC team for its continued support and commitment to promoting integrity within public institutions.
He noted that the workshop provided an opportunity for staff to deepen their understanding of ethical conduct and their individual responsibilities in preventing corruption.
According to him, the Commission remains committed to strengthening its systems and practices in line with the principles of transparency, accountability and responsible service delivery.
“We are on the right path towards building a culture of integrity and ethical conduct,” Bishop Adegbite stated, stressing that achieving a corruption-free institution requires the collective commitment of every staff member.
He assured the ICPC team of the Commission’s willingness to collaborate and embrace initiatives aimed at preventing corruption and strengthening institutional accountability.
In his remarks, the Chairman of ICPC, Dr. Musa Aliyu, SAN, represented by the Director, System Studies and Review Department, Mr. Olusegun Adigun, commended the ACTU of NCPC for its commitment to promoting transparency and accountability.
Mr. Adigun acknowledged the efforts of the ACTU in advancing anti-corruption initiatives within the Commission and encouraged staff to sustain the momentum.
The workshop featured two paper presentations designed to equip participants with practical knowledge for promoting ethical conduct in the workplace.
The first paper, titled _“Building a Culture of Integrity: Everybody’s Role in Preventing Corruption,” emphasised that the fight against corruption is a collective responsibility.
The second paper, _“Recognising and Resisting Corruption Risks in the Workplace,”_ focused on helping participants identify potential corruption risks and develop the confidence to resist unethical practices.
The presentations reinforced the importance of personal integrity, vigilance and accountability as essential tools for creating an ethical and transparent work environment.
The engagement underscored the shared commitment of NCPC and ICPC to strengthening institutional integrity and ensuring that ethical conduct remains fundamental to public service.
