World Cancer Day 2025: Over 200 Beneficiaries Receive Free Medical Care in Abuja

The 2025 World Cancer Day was marked with a free community health outreach and childhood cancer awareness campaign in the Dutse Alhaji community of Abuja.

The event, organized by Okapi Children Cancer Foundation in collaboration with Silvercross Hospital and the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja, with the theme ” United by Unique” provided free medical consultations, tests, and medications to over 200 indigent residents.


The initiative aimed to promote early detection and treatment of cancer, particularly among children, through sensitization and awareness programs.

The Organizers expressed gratitude to sponsors, partners, and donors for their support in making the outreach a success.

World Cancer Day is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment, in line with global efforts to reduce the impact of the disease.
