The newly elected National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has declared that the 2027 general elections are already a settled victory for the ruling party.

Yilwatda made the statement on Thursday while officially assuming office at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, following his election during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party.

In his inaugural address, the Plateau-born professor and politician vowed to reposition the APC into a party Nigerians would be proud of. He assured members of his unwavering commitment to strengthening the party and attracting influential figures from across party lines.

Calling for unity and teamwork among party stakeholders, the new chairman expressed optimism that the APC would grow into a stronger political force and a symbol of pride and hope for the nation.

Professor Yilwatda takes over from former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, who recently stepped down from the position due to health-related reasons.
