2027: Group Tips Babagbemi for House of Representatives Seat
A socio-political group under the aegis of Concerned Yagba Stakeholders has tipped Pastor Babagbemi Joseph Adejola for the House of Representatives seat in Yagba Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group, in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Mr. Tunde Ajibola, and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Lokoja, said Adejola possessed the requisite capacity, grassroots connection and commitment to quality representation.
It noted that Adejola, a financial expert, had over the years demonstrated interest in youth empowerment, education, agriculture and infrastructural development in Yagbaland.
“Pastor Babagbemi is not new to the people. He is one of us, and he has shown through his works that he has the passion and the competence to speak for Yagba at the Green Chamber,” the statement said.
The group described him as a bridge-builder who had consistently engaged with traditional rulers, youths, women and other stakeholders to promote peace and development in the constituency.
It urged political parties, especially the All Progressives Congress (APC), to give Adejola the opportunity to fly their flag in 2027, stressing that “he is a aspirant with proven integrity and tested leadership qualities.”
The statement further called on constituents to rally support for his aspiration, saying his emergence would mark a turning point in the political history of Yagba Federal Constituency.
