As Nigeria celebrates her 65th Independence Anniversary, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called on Nigerians not only to look back at the journey so far, but also to reflect on the courage, resilience, and unity that have defined the country as a people.
In a personally signed independence message released to journalists in Lafia on Tuesday, Governor Sule urged citizens of the state and Nigerians at large to celebrate these values and renew their belief in the nation’s future.
“Today is not only a time to reflect on how far we have come, but also to celebrate the courage, resilience, and unity that define us as a people. On behalf of the Government of Nasarawa State, I warmly congratulate the good people of our dear state on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of its creation,” he stated.
He expressed gratitude to the people for their trust and support, noting that their mandate continues to inspire his administration to work tirelessly towards building a state of shared prosperity.
“Over the course of this journey, our state has weathered challenges and embraced opportunities with hope and determination. As we mark this milestone, I assure you of our administration’s unwavering commitment to policies and projects that improve lives, strengthen infrastructure, attract investors, and expand opportunities for all,” he added.
Governor Sule reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to promote peace and create an enabling environment for growth, while paying tribute to the state’s founding fathers, both living and departed, for laying the foundation for Nasarawa’s progress.
He further assured citizens that the state would continue to harness its vast potentials and reposition itself as a model for others to emulate.
“Together, we will continue to unlock the vast potentials of Nasarawa State and position our dear state as a reference point for prosperity. Happy 29th Anniversary to the people of Nasarawa. The best of our journey still lies ahead,” the governor declared.
