La_Shipson Pharma Ltd. Hosts International Experts to Transform Nigeria’s Pharmaceutical Industry

In a significant move poised at reshaping Nigeria’s pharmaceutical landscape, La_Shipson Pharmaceutical Ltd. has welcomed a distinguished delegation of international pharmaceutical experts and partners in Abuja for a three-day strategic visit aimed at advancing Nigeria’s pharmaceutical manufacturing capabilities.

The visiting team included Dr. Santanu Ghosh, a WHO-certified pharmaceutical formulation expert, and Mr. Sushil P. Petkar, an acclaimed pharmaceutical machinery designer from India, who arrived on September 28. They were joined by Mr. Soe Myint Naing, a key financial partner from the United States, on September 29. The delegation was received by La_Shipson’s CEO, Hon. Moses Shipi, and Board Chairman, Mr. Handsome Jimoh Momoh.

Key meetings took place with Nigeria’s top regulatory and research agencies, including the National Biotechnology Research and Development Agency (NABRDA), the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN), and the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC). Discussions centered on strategies to implement a cutting-edge pharmaceutical manufacturing project, technology transfer, enhancing local production capacity, and producing affordable, world-class medicines for Nigerians.

Hon. Moses Shipi emphasized the significance of the visit, stating it marks a foundational step toward reducing Nigeria’s reliance on imported drugs and fostering a self-sufficient pharmaceutical sector. Mr. Handsome Jimoh Momoh highlighted the international confidence in Nigeria’s industry, emphasizing job creation and national health security as key outcomes of this collaboration.
