President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, on the occasion of his 65th birthday.

Reflecting on their enduring friendship and shared commitment to national development—rooted in their membership of the “Class of ’99” Governors—President Tinubu highlighted the strength of their relationship and their dedication to the country’s progress.

This was contained in a statement released on Monday in Abuja by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.

The President praised the former Senate Majority Whip’s steadfast patriotism, recalling decades of collaboration marked by mutual respect despite political differences.

He also commended Senator Kalu’s entrepreneurial achievements, particularly through the founding of Slok Holding and investments in banking and media—ventures that have created numerous employment opportunities for Nigerians.

“Senator Kalu, my friend, is a patriot whose life embodies resilience, generosity, and the transformative power of visionary leadership. On this milestone, I celebrate his contributions to our nation’s economic and political tapestry,” President Tinubu said.

The President offered prayers for Senator Kalu, asking God Almighty to grant him renewed strength, wisdom, and many more years of impactful service to Nigeria and humanity.
