Police Restrict Movement in Rivers State Ahead of August 30 LG Elections

The Nigeria Police Force has announced a restriction of movement across Rivers State beginning from midnight on Friday, August 29, 2025, until 6:00 p.

Residents are urged to make necessary arrangements and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a peaceful and orderly electoral exercise.

This directive is issued by the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Command.
