In a startling development, popular Nigerian TikTok content creator, Peller, has reportedly been kidnapped by unidentified persons late Wednesday during a livestream, sparking widespread concern and conflicting updates about his situation.

Short video clips circulating on TikTok and Instagram show a scuffle near a roadside at night, with viewers commenting in real time that he had been “kidnapped.

According to PM News, the fast-rising influencer disappeared after being seized by unknown assailants on Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Reports of the incident quickly spread across social media platforms including X and Facebook, with claims that the alleged abduction occurred during his broadcast. However, the location, motive, and identities of those involved remain unknown.

Confusion deepened within hours as fellow TikTok creators, referencing model-influencer Sandra Benede—a regular collaborator of Peller—claimed in a live session that “Peller has been found.” These claims, however, have not been confirmed by the authorities or mainstream media outlets.

As of the latest updates, the Nigeria Police Force has not issued any statement directly addressing the incident. Although recent police briefings have focused on anti-kidnapping operations in other areas, Peller’s case was not mentioned. Efforts to reach the Lagos State Police Command for clarification were unsuccessful.

Peller, born Habeeb Hamzat in Lagos, rose to fame through viral TikTok livestreams and high-profile collaborations that have consistently drawn massive audiences. He is considered one of Nigeria’s most influential young creators, boasting several brand partnerships and a wide social media reach.

For now, the circumstances remain unclear—ranging from the possibility of an actual abduction to mistaken identity, or even an elaborate online hoax. No credible law enforcement sources have confirmed the details, leaving his status and whereabouts uncertain.

Peller’s broadcasts frequently dominate discussions in Nigeria’s creator space, often sparking controversy and heated fan reactions. Such factors contribute to the risk of misinformation during fast-moving events involving influencers. Globally, there have also been unrelated incidents of staged or misreported “kidnappings” by online creators, underscoring the importance of waiting for official confirmation before drawing conclusions.

This is a developing story. Updates will be provided once police or Peller’s representatives issue verified statements. Until then, the public is urged to treat unverified videos with caution and rely on official channels for accurate information.
