The Novalie Girlchild Foundation has officially launched its ambitious initiative, “Project Send 37,000 Girls Back to School,” at St. John Secondary School, Awka — marking a major milestone in its mission to reintegrate out-of-school girls across Nigeria.

The launch comes on the heels of the successful enrollment of over 400 beneficiaries nationwide, with the majority drawn from northern Nigeria.

The foundation’s comprehensive program not only supports the re-enrollment of girls who have dropped out of school but also provides vocational skill training for those who opt for skill acquisition over formal education. Through this dual-track approach, the Novalie Girlchild and Empowerment Project seeks to equip girls with both education and practical life skills, empowering them to build independent and sustainable futures.

At the Awka launch, enthusiastic students of St. John Secondary School benefited from educational materials distributed by the foundation — an essential component of the support system designed to ease their transition back to school. The initiative underscores the foundation’s dedication to bridging educational gaps, reducing the number of out-of-school girls, and promoting female empowerment across Nigeria’s diverse communities.

The project continues to expand its reach, engaging more beneficiaries nationwide and providing ongoing mentorship and support as the girls pursue either formal education or vocational training.
