The Abia North Peace Foundation, a socio-political group, has called for the arrest of Obasi Kalu Obasi and Onyekachi Uduma over alleged acts of criminal defamation, intimidation, and other unlawful activities it says could threaten peace in Ohafia, Abia State.
In a statement released on Tuesday and signed by its spokesperson, Kalu Kalu, the foundation said it would formally petition the Inspector General of Police and other relevant security agencies, demanding a thorough investigation into the activities of the duo.

It also revealed plans to explore legal options, including instituting civil action.
The group accused the leadership of the Ohafia Youth Association (OYA) of making what it described as reckless and inflammatory statements against certain government agencies, as well as issuing threats against some national leaders.
According to the foundation, such statements are irresponsible and capable of escalating tension while exposing the Ohafia community to avoidable security attention.
The Abia North Peace Foundation further alleged that under the current OYA leadership, social vices have worsened in Ohafia, citing drug abuse, open sale of hard drugs, cultism, gambling, increasing cases of unwanted pregnancies, and other forms of moral decline.
It faulted the association for what it termed a complete failure to design or implement meaningful youth-focused programmes aimed at addressing these challenges.
The foundation also accused the OYA leadership of neglecting community development and youth rehabilitation, alleging that they have instead allowed themselves to be used by desperate politicians to defame national and state leaders, including President Bola Tinubu, the Department of State Services (DSS), the Police, INEC, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Questioning the credibility of the association’s leadership, the group challenged them to publicly outline any tangible achievements recorded during their tenure in areas such as youth empowerment, skills acquisition, security advocacy, or social reform.
According to the foundation, no verifiable achievement has been attributed to the current leadership, apart from the investigation and reported arrest of Obasi Kalu Obasi over allegations of stealing electrical cables in Ohafia and selling them to scrap dealers, a case it noted is still under police investigation.
The Abia North Peace Foundation also called on the Abia State Police Command to investigate allegations bordering on vandalism of government property, kidnapping, theft of public utilities, attempted extortion, harassment, cyberbullying, and criminal defamation allegedly linked to the activities of the duo.
The group urged the Inspector General of Police to act promptly, emphasizing that no individual or organization should be allowed to threaten public peace, tarnish community reputation, or hide under the guise of activism to engage in actions capable of destabilizing Ohafia and the wider Abia North senatorial district.
