The victims were identified as Mrs.
Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul.

Confirming the incident, Adelabu’s media aide, Femi Awogboro, disclosed in a statement that the abduction occurred at about 7:30 a.m. while Mrs. John-Paul was taking her children to school.
According to the statement, the gunmen intercepted the family and forcefully whisked away Mrs. John-Paul and her two sons.

It added that security personnel had already commenced investigations and intensified efforts aimed at rescuing the victims and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
“Security operatives have swung into action and preliminary investigations have commenced in earnest. Efforts are currently ongoing to ensure the safe rescue of the victims and the apprehension of those responsible for this heinous crime,” the statement noted.
The family of Chief Adelabu expressed deep concern over the development but maintained confidence in the ability of security agencies to secure the release of the abducted woman and her children.
The statement further appealed to the public to remain calm, avoid speculation and refrain from spreading unverified information that could undermine ongoing rescue operations.
The family also called on Nigerians to offer prayers and support during the difficult period.
The incident comes less than three weeks after the abduction of 47 students and teachers in Ahoro Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, highlighting growing concerns over insecurity in the state.
